Donor Advised Funds
Considering giving to Bridgercare through your Donor Advised Fund? Learn more about how to do that below!
Donor Advised Funds (“DAFs”) are basically a charitable savings account where you get an immediate tax benefit for your donation, and then you can recommend grants from that same account be given to your favorite charities whenever you choose. You can create an account with a sponsoring organization (like your local community foundation or bank). Then, at your direction, the sponsoring organization uses that money to make donations to organizations you love - like Bridgercare!

Monthly DAF distributions have a $50 minimum distribution requirement. You can make a monthly DAF donation through any DAF provider, but you will need to contact them to set it up.
As a monthly DAF donor, you will gain membership to Bridgercare Friends and Defenders, our monthly giving program! Perks include:
A 50% discount on our ticketed events (including Sweet Tooth Ball!)
An invitation to our annual Thank You Very Much Lunch
Quarterly insider updates about Bridgercare’s services, work and funding
A really cute sticker
A special edition enamel pin each year!
You can also create a lasting legacy by naming Bridgercare the beneficiary of the entire account or a percentage of the fund. With a percentage, you can create a family legacy of giving by naming your loved ones as your successor to continue recommending grants to charitable organizations. Contact your fund administrator for a beneficiary form.

Why do our donors love to give through their DAF?
We are passionate about supporting basic needs, access to birth control, and animal advocacy agencies! There are a couple local nonprofits we are very dedicated to, including Bridgercare, and we always want to maximize our giving to best support their important work, especially right now. We’ve had a Donor Advised Fund for a while now and find it to be a powerful way to give. Our DAF is easy to initiate gifts through and the money that isn't being used is invested, thus growing the funds we are able to give in the future. - Linda and Brian
