Community Education Program

What is the Community Education Program?

Bridgercare’s Community Education Program is a group education class that teaches people how to create open and accepting communities in their workplace or life! We provide professional development training for healthcare professionals, educators, youth serving professionals, businesses and faith communities about sexual and reproductive health, how to create safe spaces and services, and create open and accepting communities.

If you are part of a group of 10 or more and you are interested in a private Community Education Training with Bridgercare, we would love to chat with you! If you are an individual interested in attending a public training, we host public Community Education opportunities twice per year. ANY individual looking to learn more about how to be a part of a more welcoming community should sign up for our public sessions!

Meet Our Community Education Coordinator!

Hailey Gutowsky

Hailey is originally from Bend, OR, where she first glimpsed the positive impact of evidence-based and trauma-informed sexuality education as a Peer Educator teaching in her local school district. After graduating from the University of Vermont in Public Health Science, she is now a certified Health Education Specialist and has experience integrating inclusive and empowering reproductive care in medical and community settings. Hailey loves finding common ground in Community Education trainings and through experience understands that there is always more to learn and new ways to practice empathy. Whether you’re sprinting, walking, or stumbling in the journey or supporting our community members’ sexual and reproductive health, Hailey is excited to join you!

Community Education Program FAQs

  • Bridgercare is an expert resource in this field. We have been providing trusted, excellent healthcare in the Valley for more than 50 years and education for nearly half that time. Despite trials and tribulations, our Education Program has survived. Why? Because we are passionate about providing this education in our community!

We can help make your business a safer and more welcoming space for everyone in Bozeman, or help you as an individual learn all about how to bring that energy into your day-to-day interactions with neighbors, friends, families, and community members.

  • A private group session is typically billed at $350/hour in order to cover costs including staff time, materials preparation, community facilitator time, and food. However, if your group of 10 or more is excited to host a private Community Education training with us but cannot afford the fee, our trainings are on a sliding fee scale. Please reach out for more information.

  • We request that only groups of 10 or more schedule private group Community Education trainings with us.

  • Our Community Education Coordinator, Hailey Gutowsky, is the primary facilitator and contact for ALL Community Education Program trainings. Two Community Facilitators will join Hailey to facilitate the session.

Community Facilitators are a vital part of the Community Education Program. Community Facilitators co-facilitate the Community Education Program with the Bridgercare Community Education Coordinator. They are trained to facilitate in line with the values of Bridgercare Education, which are to provide education that is medically accurate, developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive and evidence-based. Facilitators guide the conversation and share their own lived experiences.
